AFB produces frozen seafood products under the brands of major national supermarket chains. AFB is certified to sustainability standards and uses seafood from MSC/ASC certified suppliers, guaranteeing sustainable fishing or fish farming that respects the oceans. Furthermore, it is also certified in compliance with the International Food Standard to ensure the food safety of its products.
THE REQUEST
In addition to the need for a system capable of managing production and food traceability of its products, the company also needs to manage the creation and printing of a wide range of labels and packaging for its customers. Beyond labels, there are also needs to manage various types of barcodes, exchange data with customers, and manage production and warehouses.

THE SOLUTION
VM Vision develops the Expresso® software and customizes it to the client’s specific needs for traceability management. The system is then implemented to manage all business activities, from accounting to bill of materials management, from warehouse inventory to label printing, and even specialized solutions for packaging lines that use a barcode reader to prevent box and label errors.

Alternative Frozen Burger has found a comprehensive solution to all its challenges with the Expresso® management system, customized to its specific needs. Thanks to this, in the near future the company plans to implement the system by adopting Expresso® Mobile, which ensures efficient, real-time management of all phases of its production cycle via a handheld device, and Expresso® MES for productivity monitoring.
