THE CLIENT
Bralys is Toshiba Tec Italia Imaging Systems, part of the Japanese group Toshiba Corporation,’s response to the market’s increasingly digital transformation. It is a business unit dedicated to innovation, handling large-scale development and transformation projects. It offers a consulting strategy that enables technology transfer tailored to the client’s needs, based on Open Innovation, an approach that leverages expertise outside of Toshiba.

THE SOLUTION
The project assigned to Bralys was to streamline the processes of a Campania-based multinational that offers logistics services to the aerospace and military sectors.
Specifically, VM Vision was brought in to connect a weighing system to an inbound-outbound system that includes a comprehensive traceability system using RFID radio frequency technology. VM Vision collaborated to create an “ecosystem” that involved multiple partners, each with their own specific expertise. The system, integrated with the company’s SAP system, enables product identification, incoming registration, weighing, data transmission to SAP, and printing of an incoming label with all the relevant information. It also allows real-time inventory monitoring. When the product is shipped, the system prints the outgoing label.

THE PLUS
The investment in logistics process optimization paid for itself in just one year of operation. The project, a pilot for the Italian office, was highly appreciated by the customer and will soon be extended to other international offices.
