Wath is a cookie
Cookies are small data files that are stored on the user’s computer while browsing and perform various functions such as remembering login data for services, collecting statistical information on the pages visited, identifying the browser and device used, selecting targeted content and communications according to one’s preferences and more. Cookies can be of various types, depending on the type of data they store and how long they remain stored on the user’s device.

Session cookies, or temporary cookies, are those that expire or are deleted when the browser is closed, while persistent cookies have longer expiration times (from a few minutes to entire months) depending on the functions they perform. It is precisely these functions that distinguish cookies into two categories: technical and non-technical (or profiling).

What are profiling cookies?

Profiling cookies may be installed by the Owner(s) using so-called web analytics software, which are used to prepare detailed, real-time analysis reports relating to information on: visitors to a website, search engines of origin, keywords used, language of use, most visited pages. They can collect information and data such as IP address, nationality, city, date/time, device, browser, operating system, screen resolution, navigation source, pages visited and number of pages, duration of the visit, number of visits made and analyze the interests and browsing habits of individual users, to provide, for example, content, including advertising, targeted to particular interests.

Third party cookies

Third-party cookies manage analytical and profiling data and are used to detect information on user behavior on the site. The detection takes place anonymously, in order to monitor performance and improve the usability of the site. Data collected by third parties, such as Google Analytics, Google Doubleclick, Youtube, Yahoo, Bing and Facebook, can be used to create profiles relating to users, in order to propose advertising messages in line with the choices expressed by the users themselves. The use of these cookies is governed by the rules established by the third parties themselves, therefore, Users are invited to read the privacy policies and instructions for managing or disabling cookies published on the following web pages:

How to disable cookies

Consent to receive cookies can also be expressed through specific browser configurations by users. Most browsers allow you to set rules to manage cookies sent only by some or all sites, an option that offers users more precise control over their privacy and to deny the possibility of receiving cookies themselves. We would like to remind you that restricting the ability of websites to send cookies can worsen the overall browsing experience of users. We suggest that the User consult the manual of his/her device or the “Help” function of his/her internet browser.
